Privacy Policy — PDF Converter & Doc Scanner

PDF Converter & Doc Scanner (“we,” “our,” or “the app”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using our mobile applications and related services.

By installing or using the app, you agree to this Privacy Policy and consent to the processing of information as described below. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1) Non-Personal Information

We may collect non-identifying technical data to keep the app running smoothly and improve performance, such as:

  • Device model

  • Operating system version

  • Country/region code

  • Diagnostic and usage data related to app functionality and connectivity

This information cannot identify you personally and is used only to analyze performance and enhance the user experience.

2) Personal Information

We do not collect or store information that directly identifies you (e.g., your name, email address, phone number).

3) Advertising

The app may display ads through third-party networks such as Google AdMob. These partners may use cookies or anonymous identifiers to provide, measure, and improve ad relevance. For details on Google’s practices, please review Google’s Privacy Policy.

4) Location Data

Some features may request access to your device’s location (GPS or network-based). We access location only with your permission and do not store or share this data with third parties or ad networks beyond what is necessary to operate the feature you enabled.

5) Camera Access

When you scan or capture documents, the app uses your device’s camera. We do not collect or back up your personal photos or videos; captured content remains on your device unless you choose to export or share it.

6) Photos, Media & Files

The app may read images, PDFs, or documents you explicitly select for conversion or scanning features. We do not collect or store your files on our servers.

7) Accessibility Services (If Used)

If a feature requires Accessibility Service (BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE), it will only be used for the specific functionality you enable (for example, reading certain on-screen content you explicitly allow). We do not use Accessibility permissions for any other purpose.

8) Phone State (If Used)

If the app requests READ_PHONE_STATE, it is solely to support features like pausing actions during calls or reacting to device state changes. It is not used to collect your call content or personal communications.

9) Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will promptly delete it.

10) Third-Party Services & Links

Our app may include links to or integrations with third-party services. Their privacy policies and terms apply to their handling of your information. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those third parties.

11) Legal Compliance & Safety

We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that doing so is necessary to:

  • Comply with a legal obligation (e.g., court order, subpoena)

  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others

  • Prevent, investigate, or address suspected fraud or illegal activity

12) Disclaimers

  • Information you choose to share publicly is your responsibility.

  • While we take reasonable measures to protect data, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We are not liable for breaches caused by factors beyond our control (e.g., network attacks).

  • We comply with applicable laws and this policy in our handling of data.

13) Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated effective date. Please review this page periodically.
